Willie Kwun

Willie Kwun founded Westmana Development Corp in 1996 with René David and is responsible for managing Westmana’s relationships with construction partners.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and has more than 20 years of experience developing and managing commercial and residential projects. In 1992, he earned his Certified Management Accountant qualification.  Prior to his long and successful partnership with René David, Willie was an asset manager and an auditor in public accounting with BDO Dunwoody and Co.

Willie Kwun is widely respected for his forward-thinking approach to business affairs and his sensitivity to the needs of the community. His solid relationships with the City of Langley and the District of Squamish, communities where Westmana has developed residential and commercial projects (The Muse, Virescence, Spectacle), are evidenced by the ongoing consultation those communities have requested in recent years. For example, on a number of occasions, City of Langley staff have informally asked for Willie’s input and insight regarding the future of Langley’s downtown core. The District of Squamish has also worked closely with Westmana to elicit community input, and recognizes Willie’s ability to gauge and consider the needs of the region before undertaking any development.
