Management Team
Rene DavidRene is one of Westmana’s founders. As one of the Principals, Rene oversees the direction and vision of the company.
With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC, specializing in Finance and Urban Land Economics, and over 15 years of development experience, including VP Development for VanCity Enterprise, Rene brings to the Westmana team an extensive business background and strong leadership abilities.
Rene believes in and promotes a new style of responsible development which incorporates access to affordable housing, socially responsible planning, value engineering and environmentally conscious building principles.
In his career, Rene’s entrepreneurial and community spirit has driven him to develop market housing as well as community projects, including seniors’ community centers, seniors’ housing, and affordable housing for single parent families, the mentally disabled and the community at large.
Rene has also served as a member of several community organizations, including the Lionsview Seniors Housing Advisory Committee, the St. James Community Services Society and, in preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics, the False Creek Stewardship Planning Committee.
Willie KwunWillie is one of Westmana's founders. As one of the Principals, Willie is responsible for managing Westmana's relationships with construction partners.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration from SFU and over 20 years of experience developing and managing commercial projects, Willie is known for his ability to take on and complete even the most difficult projects and is widely respected for his work ethic and forward-thinking approach to business affairs.
Willie has been successful in building close relationships with local suppliers and trades people and firmly believes in the value of strong professional and client relationships. Willie brings solid negotiation and project management skills to the Westmana team.
His respect for local business practices, his extensive research prior to the commencement of every project, and his sincere regard for the people in development communities have set a standard for value and service that Westmana clients both benefit from and depend upon.
